The Graduate Diploma in Policy Studies is designed for policy practitioners, educators, and human service providers in the fields of education, social and community services and health.
The course aims to generate tangible change in educational and social services. Our teaching staff are experts in the fields of education and social services and have been actively involved in policy processes in their area.
You can choose from a range of units of study concerning issues that include social policy process, organisational culture and change, and globalisation and education.
The course is distinctive in its attention to international policy trends and is undertaken through international comparative analyses of policy debates and changes relating to human service organisations.
Subject to meeting progression requirements in the graduate diploma, you may apply to transfer to the Master of Policy Studies.

Course programme
Candidates are required to complete a total of 36 credit points (cp), including: a minimum of 12 cp (2 units of study) of core units; and a maximum of 6 cp (1 unit of study) of elective units offered by other faculties. The balance consists of elective units.
