Description

At Grantham College we aim to ensure that all our students achieve their true potential. We have over 60 years experience of providing education and training. In this time we have developed a welcoming and supportive environment where the needs of students are always put first. We have invested substantially in our learning resources and this year an even greater range of further and higher education courses are available. Whatever your career goal, we're confident that we will have a course that is right for you.College MissionTo Provide high quality education and training for the benefit of all.Learner VoiceOne of the key strategic priorities at Grantham College is to ensure that students are central to everything we do. We believe that it is very important to listen to our learners and to involve them in our decision making processes as a way to improve the services we offer at the College. We want students to know that we will listen carefully to their feedback, take it seriously and work hard to continuously improve things. In 2008/9 students were more involved than ever in college life. We doubled the numbers of NUS members. We improved our methods of communicating electronically with students - introducing text messaging and organising an electronic graffiti wall. We organised our biggest ever student conference and held it at the Guildhall. Ours students raised over £1000 for national and local charities. Students were involved in the appointment of our new Principal and were important partners in many other key decisions made during the year.We have a number of ways in which we try to involve students: * Learner surveys completed by everyone * Course representatives * STAR forum * Student focus groups * Grantham College Student Association * Student ambassadors * Student governors * Learner of the month * Student conference. The College is an important part of Grantham and we are keen to ensure that we play a role in ensuring that the town continues to thrive and prosper. We actively encourage students to get involved in good causes and a number of things are already planned for this year.
