Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?

How will I be assessed?
There is both coursework and externally set assignment/examination. All the work is marked internally and moderated by the exam board. Coursework can take various forms but students are directed to produce a portfolio of practical work in response to set assignment briefs. The exam is also practical with the questions set by the exam board.

What can I do afterwards?
This course will either form part of the Explorer Plus programme of study or it can be an addition to an AS or A2 programme. Students intending to study Art and design at Higher Education level have found this course a valuable and suitable way to enhance their visual skills and general portfolio. Either option gives students an opportunity to study a visual, practical subject in a well equipped and resourced area.
