About this course
The minimum admission requirement for an undergraduate degree course in Art, Design and Crafts is 160 UCAS points from qualifications including A-Levels, Foundation, National Diploma, GNVQ, Access, Scottish Cert of Ed, Irish Leaving Cert, International or European Baccalaureate. Mature applicants with relevant prior experience are welcome and are considered on an individual basis. Course Content
Graduates have pursued graphic design careers with companies such as Tinopolis Television, Tetra Pack Ltd and The Cambrian Press. You will have the opportunity to participate in live project work and competitions. Recent successes include: Ty Nant Packaging Design Awards, RSA Student Design Awards and Design Wales. You will have access to well equipped MAC computer suites with a range of industry standard 2D/3D design applications. You will also have access to other specialist workshops including ceramics, printmaking, 3D and photography.

Specialist 2D and 3D workshops, photography studios, printmaking studio, Macintosh and PC computer suites
Success in live projects for industrial sponsors, regional and national competition briefs for graphic design students
Close contact with academic staff for tutorials, with average group sizes of 18 students for practical workshops

Career Prospects and Progression
Advertising, publishing and screen-based design are already multi-million pound industries that offer employment opportunities for the suitably trained and many former students have gone on to enjoy successful careers in these and other related fields. Undoubtedly student success in such prestigious competitions as the RSA Student Design Awards has helped past students to progress to successful careers.
Method of Assessment
Course work is assessed by modules and credits accumulated annually.
