Graphic Design with Photography - Level 3

You need to have five GCSEs at Grade A* - C or a Level 2 Diploma in Graphic Design with Photography at mainly Merit level. You will also need to have a successful interview, to which you will need to bring a photography or art portfolio.

The units you will study may include digital photography, computer graphics, stop motion animation, sound and video, illustration, typography, page layout, communication skills, packaging design and promotion.

Some of the software packages that you will use will include Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.

This course will involve lots of practical based work, working in the College’s new graphic design and photography studios. There will also be some theory work to prepare you for design and photography briefs.

On successful completion of the Level 3 course you can progress on to a Higher Education course at HND or degree level at university or find employment in the media, design or photography industry.
