Film is one of the most dominant popular art forms of the last 100 years, studying the course as part of the IB will enable students to develop their understanding of its complexities. This is a course for students who have a passion for cinema (be prepared for watching, silent black & white films with subtitles!). No experience of film making or analysis is required; these skills will be developed over the period of the course.

The following course, offered by Bridgewater College, will help you improve your skills and achieve your professional goals. During the program you will study different subjects which are deemed to be useful for those who want to enhance their professional career. Sign up for more information!Students will study a range of films from across the world and from a variety of time periods. In the past classes have looked at; German Expressionism (The Cabinet of Dr Caligari) the Hollywood studio system (North by Northwest), the French new wave (A Bout de Souffle), Iranian cinema (A Separation) and the films of Wes Anderson (Rushmore & Moonrise Kingdom).
