Gym Instructor Courses, CYQ, Level 2

Being a gym instructor involves introducing clients to a gym environment and offering gym based exercise programmes. A gym instructor is also an advisor and a motivator and provides members with a positive environment in the gym. So, if you are committed to helping, encouraging and inspiring people to achieve their health and fitness goals then you have what it takes to be a successful gym instructor. The gym instructor course is the first step for anyone wishing to obtain employment as a gym-based fitness instructor and is the entry requirement for progressing onto a personal training course.

You will be required to undertake approximately 5 weeks distance-learning before attending the practical element of your course. The distance-learning will teach you all of the knowledge you need to effectively participate in the practical element of the course, and what you will need to know to pass the theory exams and assessments.

This course is a blended delivery approach (home-study and workshop attendance), therefore we recommend that students are able to dedicate around 10 hours per week for home study prior to attending the practical workshops.
