Course description As a stepping stone towards a career in the hair and beauty industry, this Level 1 Award is a great course for anyone who wants to develop a wide range of skills and techniques in both hair and beauty care, as well offering an introduction into what it's like working in this sector. You'll study one mandatory unit, where you'll focus on creating a hair and beauty image using colour, and then choose an additional unit from a wide selection of options. You may wish to focus on hand and nail care or foot and toenail care. You might want bring out your artistic side with face painting or nail art. Or you may just focus on hair, with units in plaiting, using temporary hair colour, or winding skills. Whichever unit you study, you'll be developing your skills ready for further qualifications in the industry, and working towards an exciting career in the future.
