Hairdressing Level 3 Diploma

Level 3 Hairdressing offers many opportunities and challenges. It is closely linked to the fashion industry, which is fast and ever-changing. This course will push your levels of creativity through experimentation, trial and error.

• The Academy of Hair & Beauty at our High Street Campus has fully equipped modern, commercial salons for hairdressing, beauty therapy and nail services
• The course will develop your career in hairdressing providing you with all the necessary knowledge and skills at an advanced level
• You will use up to date equipment and Matrix professional products
• Tutors are highly qualified and have a wealth of professional industry experience and regularly update their skills ensuring you have the best tuition and guidance
• You will attend Blackpool or Manchester Trade Fairs and have the opportunity to enter and visit other competitions and be part of an exciting end of year show
• You will be required to find part-time work in a salon

• Promoting and selling - building on your skills to communicate effectively with clients and suppliers and how to run a business successfully
• Essential Skills for Progression in English and Maths to support your basic education and career development

You will also be required to undertake a minimum of 24 hours of independent home study.

• All practical sessions will take place in our commercial salons and give you the opportunity to watch demonstrations and practice newly acquired skills
• One-to-one tutorials to monitor progress
• Theory sessions will cover the underpinning knowledge required to complete the assignments and pass the examinations

• Our commercial salons are equipped with all the up-to-date products and equipment
• You will have access to the course virtual learning environment (VLE) where you can use the on line resources both at College and from home
• You are required to purchase a kit and wear a uniform for the practical aspects of your course
