Hairdressing NVQ 3 Entry Requirements

• An NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing with satisfactory reference and equivalent English and preferably Maths and Science OR
• A relevant equivalent Level 2 qualification with equivalent English and preferably Maths and Science OR
• Appropriate industry experience

Entry is subject to a successful interview. You will need to buy the salon uniform and equipment.

Content
You will develop your skills in the Define Salons including creative cutting and styling, advanced consultation skills, advanced colouring and correction, advanced perming, promotion and exhibition work, health and safety, team building and professional development.

Additionality
All students may have an opportunity to take a qualification to enhance their potential in unisex Hairdressing with Barbering units.

Assessment Practical observation and assessment. Assignments, written and oral tests, mandatory end tests and the compilation of portfolios of evidence. Progression
This qualification will open opportunities to become or advance to a senior stylist position, salon management, salon training or assessing and teaching.
