About this course
You must hold a full NVQ level 2 Hairdressing qualification and have a work placement in the hairdressing industry in order for you to practice and improve your skills.

About the Course
You will study for a full NVQ level 3 Hairdressing qualification, which includes the following units:
Unit G1 enables you to understand the health and safety expectations in a working salon.
Unit B6 gives you the skills needed to promote products and services to your clients.
Unit B9 develops your consultation skills to establish your clients†needs.
Unit H25 teaches you how to style and dress hair to achieve a variety of creative looks.
Unit H26 teaches you how to style and dress long hair.
Unit H27 shows you how to create a variety of looks using a combination of advanced cutting techniques.
Unit H28 shows you how to provide a colour correction service using advanced techniques.
Unit H29 shows you how to perm hair using a variety of alternative techniques.
Unit H30 shows you how to colour hair using a variety of techniques.

Practical salon based tasks - 70%
Written evidence - 25% including a written on line examination for each unit.
Fees
No Course Fees for Under 19's. Over 19's must pay, or claim Level 2 or Level 3 Entitlement for FREE courses .
