Course Summary:
This course leads to a professional qualification in hairdressing, covering all the skills needed to become a stylist in a salon. The course includes theory as well as practical skills such as styling, cutting and colouring.

Course Details:
The course consists of both theory and practical work and includes:-

Health and safety
Reception duties
Client care
Retailing skills
Cutting
Blow drying
Styling
Colouring

In addition all students work towards key skills.

Career Progression:
Successful students at Level 2 can progress to work as a junior stylist in a salon, or to NVQ3 Level 3 in Hairdressing or to NVQ Level 2 in Beauty.

Other Information:
Students will be expected to buy their own materials for the courses (brushes, combs, scissors etc) a well as a college tee-shirt and a book. The costs to be advised at interview.
