PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE

During the practical lessons, students will be working in a realistic salon environment and will be expected to carry out hairdressing services on clients. As clients for all courses cannot be guaranteed, students may need to provide their own clients. Salon sessions will also be in the evening to reflect industry working environment.
There will be a minimum of one subject related external visit during the year which is part of the course and therefore compulsory. It is also a requirement of the course that students undertake one and a half hours per week enrichment activity which will be agreed with group tutors. There will also be opportunities to enter Hair and Beauty competitions and it is expected that all students will take part in these activities.
