Who is the course for?
16-24 year olds wanting to gain a higher level nationally recognised qualification in Hairdressing

What is the course about?
Hairdressing Level 3 covers some of the following units:

-Provide Hairdressing consultation services
-Provide hair extension services
-Style and dress hair to achieve a variety of creative looks
-Create a variety of looks using a combination of cutting techniques
-Colour hair using a variety of techniques
-Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities

Will I need anything else?
You will need a black overall and sensible full shoes, to complete a professional dress code. A hairdressing kit and hairdressing book to help you with your projects. A camera needs to be available for photographic evidence and a file fo your portfolio. (You will need to provide models for assessments).

How long & often do I attend?
Apprentices will attend college 1 day a week and spend the rest of the week at their work placement. The course can atke approximatley 12 months to complete, however you may be able to progress and achieve earlier.

How will I be assessed?
Formal end of unit examinations are applicable, which are set by the awarding body. Continual assessments are carried out throughout the study period. Also projects are required throughout the course.

What opportunities will this lead to?
Students can progress onto NVQ level 4 in Hairdressing
