Half-day awareness course: Introduction to Eating Disorders

Course Overview
Eating disorders are a serious mental illness affecting many people in the UK. The session will look at the signs and factors of Anorexia, Bulimia & Compulsive Overeating and the associated dangers. Prevention and causes The course will explore some of the things you should think about regarding what you can and can't do for someone suffering from an Eating Disorder as well as the prevention and causes.

Course Structure
Venue: Thanet College Professional Development Centre (upstairs in OLRC / Library).

Mode of Attendance: 3 hour session.

Qualification Aims
A basic understanding of eating disorders.

Assessments/Examinations
The session has no assessment.

There will be an attendance certificate on completion of the session.
