Hand Plastering

The 4 day plastering course is designed to give you a good understanding of plastering. No previous experience is necessary in order for you to take part in the course although a reasonable grasp of DIY is desirable.

You will be taken through the different stages in plastering every day of your course whilst we explain will and demonstrate all the different tools and materials needed.

By the end of the course you will have a good understanding of proper plastering techniques and will have a good base knowledge which you can take forward and progress your plastering ambitions, either on a new career path or as a DIY enthusiast.

5. How to fill and repair an open space using bonding coat
6. How to prepare and repair walls using sand and cement
7. How to prepare for skimming using scrim tape, skim beads
8. How to plaster a ceiling
9. How to skim around a window reveal
10. How to skim on top of bonding
11. How to polish final skim
12. Advice on employment

The plastering techniques you will learn can be learnt and applied by anyone, for DIY plastering or business, and used in combination with some of our advanced strategies can make anyone confident in the first steps to becoming a top notch plasterer.

It doesn't matter whether you don't have any previous experience. Whether you decide to concentrate on drylining or skimming... you will still need to know exactly what's needed to prevent shabby work. We've broken the 4 day plastering course down into small chunks you can use straight away.
