This video explains the legal duties of staff under the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations. It explains Health and Safety procedures relating to all aspects of keeping people safe within the care home, not only service users but also staff, contractors and visitors. The areas covered include: fire safety; preventing slips, trips and falls; moving & handling; infection control methods; and food hygiene. Its main aim is to encourage all staff to be more safety aware in their every day practices within the care home environment.
