Course programme

This programme covers the practical skills needed by a First Aider in the workplace and equips trainees with the knowledge and confidence they need to deal safely and effectively with first aid emergencies. To attend a requalifying course, students must provide a copy of a First Aid at Work Certificate that is either HSE approved or Ofqual/SQA regulated. This certificate must not have expired by more than 3 months.
On successful completion of this examination the students will obtain a First Aid Certificate which is valid for three years.
This is a practical, hands-on programme that includes presentations, Practical exercises, scenarios and group discussions. There are three practical assessments and one multiple choice question paper. The practical assessments are in resuscitation, wounds and bleeding and recovery position.
