You will be supplied with a learning pack and assessment material. With the advice and support of a tutor, evidence will be gathered in the workplace and assessments completed as instructed based on vocational knowledge and experience.
The course consists of 4 Units: Introduction to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974;Hazards, Risks and Risk Assessments; Electricity, Hazardous Substances (COSHH) and Fire Safety; Work Equipment (PUWER), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and First Aid.
To be awarded certification for this course you must successfully complete all 4 Unit assessments.
Further Study/Employment
This course provides a basic understanding and awareness of Health and Safety in the Workplace and will improve employability, it provides a foundation to progress to IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Level 6 health and safety courses.
