Health and Social Care Apprenticeship (Level 3)

What type of work will I do and what qualifications will I gain?

Although apprenticeships will vary depending on your entry level and your employer, you will gain a range of skills from the varying tasks you complete, these could include:

• Assisting in maintaining high standards of service user care
• Assisting in the development and delivery of care plans
• Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with service users within appropriate and professional boundaries
• Recording and communicating information relevant to the service users care plans, observation levels and fluid balance charts
• Working as a member of a clinical team
• Reporting and recording all unusual and untoward occurrences

You will also gain the following qualifications:

• Competence Qualification - Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (City and Guilds)
• Knowledge Qualifications - Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (City and Guilds)
• Level 2 Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health, Social Care (City and Guilds)
• Level 2 Functional Skills Maths (NCFE)
• Level 2 Functional Skills English (NCFE)
