Content / Overview:
This is a one year course for anyone interested in working with people especially those groups such as the young or the elderly who need extra help and support. Subjects include communication, equality of opportunity and development across all ages. Your learning experience will be varied and include learning practical skills, looking at case studies, working as a team and preparing presentations. On successful completion of the course you may be able to progress onto a Level 3 course such as the Health and Social Care BTEC National Certificate or Childcare and Education CACHE Diploma Level 3.
Delivery Method:
A practical, hands-on course.
Assessment:
Internal and external assessment of coursework.
Progression:
Health and Social Care BTEC National Certificate.
If you are 16-18, a British or European Union resident and enrolled on a Further Education course there are normally no tuition, registration or exam fees. If you are in need of financial support, talk to us about help with other course costs, childcare, travel and accommodation.
