A range of GCSEs at D or above including English Language and preferably Maths or equivalent OR
A BTEC Introductory Diploma in Health and Social Care with a satisfactory reference and equivalent literacy and preferably numeracy OR
A relevant Level 1 qualification with equivalent literacy and preferably numeracy.
Entry is subject to a successful interview. You will need a clean CRB check.

You will develop your skills through supervised work experience placements in care homes, special needs and childcare provision. Key Skills will form part of your final qualifications.
Assessment
Internally assessed assignments plus supervised work experience placements in a range of health, care and early years settings.
Progression
This course will prepare you for entry into employment as a care assistant, or for further study such as the BTEC National Diploma in Health Studies or the BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care.
