You will study Functional Skills in English and Maths.
You will need four GCSEs at grade C or above, including GCSE English. Alternatively, you can have a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care at merit level or above (including Level 1 English and Functional Skills).
All applicants will have a formal interview and assessment prior to enrolment. You must bring a reference from a school or employer.
Assessment is by coursework, work placement and final research project.
Passed with merit or distinction, a BTEC Extended Diploma is the equivalent of three A Levels, and opens up the opportunity for you to study Health, Social Sciences or a related field at University or Higher Education.
Alternatively, it allows for progression to more responsible positions in your workplace, particularly in areas such as Human Resources.
