The Health & Social Care Certificate Level 2 is designed to provide opportunities to acquire skills and knowledge which are transferable and will enable individuals to meet changing circumstances, whether these arise from a shift in their own status or employment, or general changes in care practice, provision or environment. Who The Course is for
Those who wish to gain a recognised qualification in Care.
Course Content
Students will study 4 compulsory units plus 2 optional units.
- Preparing to give quality care
- Communicating with service users in care settings.
- Practical caring
- Hygiene & Safety in care settings.
Key skills in communication will also be studied as an integral part of the course.
There will be a period of compulsory work experience within this qualification.

Entry RequirementsLearning & Assessment Methods
Students will complete assignments with all 6 units internally assessed. There are no external exams.
