Introduction Who Should Participate:
Those who work mainly as a key worker or at supervisory level with individuals to support and assist them in their physical or emotional care, daily living needs or maintaining their independence.

Key Objectives To develop care skills, knowledge and practice.

Course Units The course consists of 4 mandatory units:

· Promote Effective Communication for and About Individuals
· Promote, Monitor and Maintain Health, Safety and Security in the Working Environment
· Reflect on and Develop your Practice
· Promote Choice, Well Being and The Protection of all Individuals (Adults).

And 4 optional units to be chosen with your assessor. e.g.:

· Contribute to Care Planning and Review
· Support Individuals with Specific Communication Needs

Course outcome:
NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care

Duration 9 months - 1 year
