This course teaches you to demonstrate a basic understanding of the range of tests performed by the HCA, to explain the importance of making observations, recording and reporting results, to show an understanding of medical terms that will improve one's understanding of illnesses. Suitable for new practice based HCAs. This course is also ideal for those who will be undertaking relevant NVQs but who have yet to start their studies.

Introductory course for Health Care Assistants
This practical course is designed to introduce the 'new' Health Care Assistant to the role of caring and enable them to be more effective in their role.
The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to be able to:
- demonstrate a basic understanding of the range of tests performed by the HCA;
- explain the importance of making observations, recording and reporting results;
- show an understanding of medical terms that will improve one's understanding of illnesses.
All delegates will be provided with a course manual and will be issued with a certificate upon completion of the course
