The Distance Learning Health Care Diploma course has been designed to give an opportunity to those working in a Care environment to build on their skills to progress in Health and Social Care.
Working in the care sector, you have responsibilities to provide a service to your clients and to respond safely and effectively to all their needs. This course will help you to develop the necessary skills needed to do this and achieve a qualification that recognises your achievement. This course is concerned with your role, as a care worker, in identifying ways of communicating on difficult, complex and sensitive issues, in a variety of settings and situations.
Also explored are ways the care worker can support others to communicate and update records and reports in line with the necessary requirements.
This Diploma course is concerned with how you promote, monitor and maintain security in the work environment. You are required to provide evidence of how you keep yourself, individuals and others for whom you are responsible safe and secure and minimise any risks arising from incidents and emergencies (including any health emergencies). You will also examine and analyse methods of reflecting on and developing your practice.
Updating your understanding and knowledge and taking action to enhance your practice are vital to meeting the changing needs of individuals in your care.

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.
