The Distance Learning Health Care Diploma course has been designed to give an opportunity to those working in a Care environment to build on their skills to progress in Health and Social Care.

Working in the care sector, you have responsibilities to provide a service to your clients and to respond safely and effectively to all their needs. This course is concerned with your role, as a care worker, in identifying ways of communicating on difficult, complex and sensitive issues, in a variety of settings and situations.

This Diploma course is concerned with how you promote, monitor and maintain security in the work environment. You are required to provide evidence of how you keep yourself, individuals and others for whom you are responsible safe and secure and minimise any risks arising from incidents and emergencies (including any health emergencies). You will also examine and analyse methods of reflecting on and developing your practice.

Updating your understanding and knowledge and taking action to enhance your practice are vital to meeting the changing needs of individuals in your care.
