Course Overview
This nationally recognised 2 year course prepares you for employment or higher education within the Health and Social Care profession. It is the equivalent of 3 A Levels. During the course you will attend vocational practice within Health and Social Care settings. Visiting speakers are invited to talk about the wide range of jobs within the sector and you will have an opportunity to visit some of these environments.

  • Health, Safety and Security in Health and Social Care
  • Development Through the Life Stages
  • Fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social Care
  • Personal and Professional Development in Health and Social Care
  • Sociological Perspectives for Health and Social Care
  • Psychological Perspectives for Health and Social Care



Qualification Aims
To provide an in-depth understanding of Health and Social care that can be used to gain employment or lead onto higher education.

Assessments/Examinations
All of the units have an assignment attached that must be completed to at least a pass level for successful completion of the course.

Tuition is free for 16-19s.
Additional costs:
£35 contribution to course materials.
