Course programme
The MSc Healthcare Leadership is one of a selection of awards offered by the University to meet the needs of medical and healthcare professionals. It provides a variety of module opportunities designed to address continuing professional development, giving you the knowledge and skills to lead change and improvement initiatives in a healthcare setting. The award focuses particularly on the human aspects of managing change, whilst also covering fully the key organisational, financial and informational aspects of the management of healthcare services. Specific areas of self development within the programme include team leadership, communication, conflict resolution and people development. The course pays special heed to the interests of patients and communities. It also takes on the challenge of attempting to resolve seemingly irreconcilable issues regarding the provision of healthcare, such as demographic pressures, resource constraints and ethical considerations.
