HELPING CHILDREN MOVE (1 DAY COURSE)

ABOUT THE COURSE

Children who are accommodated are too often denied their chance to maintain and build attachments to others. The psychological, emotional and physical health of these children are jeopardised as a result.

Well managed moves can reduce some of the damage done to these children. This one day course will enable all those involved with children's placements to reflect on practices and build a greater understanding of how we can help children with the moving on process and make it sensitive to the child's individual needs.

This one day course is suitable for all childcare professionals at every professional level who are involved in placement moves for children of all ages (e.g. social services, fostering and adoption, & private and voluntary sectors).
