What will I study?
The Construction & the Built Environment Diploma is an innovative new employer-endorsed qualification that introduces young people to the nature of the built environment and its impact on both individuals and communities.
How can I progress?
On successful completion of this qualification you can progress to an Advanced Diploma (depending on your Diploma grade and GCSE results), Apply for an apprenticeship, Employment. The Higher Diploma will be equivalent to 7 GCSEs A* to C. Students that successfully complete the Higher Diploma in CBE are not restricted to looking for work and/or further study in this occupational area.

Course Structure
Whilst studying towards this qualification the following areas of study will be covered; Principal Learning: this is the work related part of the Diploma that focuses on the construction industry, including subjects such as Design the Built Environment, Create the Built Environment and Value and Use of the Built Environment. Personal Learning and Thinking Skills: Students are expected to develop these throughout their programme of study. Functional Skills: As employers need good literacy, Numeracy & I.T. skills the Diploma allows you to produce hard evidence that you have those skills.
