Apprentices on this course are employed and work alongside health professionals to provide patient care in a range of settings including clinics, care homes or hospitals.
This programme is ideal for you if you have a kind and caring nature, coupled with the desire to progress in the workplace.
Topics covered include:
- Lifespan development and healthcare needs
- Managing quality in health and social care
- Safeguarding and protection of vulnerable adults
- Promoting professional development
The course comprises a number of mandatory units, totalling 108 credits and two categories of optional units, totalling 13 credits.
Apprentices will enjoy a theoretical and practical learning experience, gained in the classroom and in the workplace.
In addition, speakers will visit the College to talk about relevant matters in the care sector.
Good English and maths skills are essential for success in studying and for future employment prospects and so Croydon College ensures that these skills are developed in all learning opportunities.
It’s also important to have good English and maths qualifications and so all students will study English and maths and work towards an appropriate level and type of qualification including GCSE.
