Introduction:
The course is designed for employed students who wish to specialise in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. The emphasis is on the development of a wide range of professional and technical skills. The modules have been selected to ensure that students develop the essential knowledge and skills to work in the Electrical/Electronics industry.

Study Mode & Location:
This two year part-time course is studied on a day release basis for one afternoon (Friday) and one evening per week. It will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent's Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.

Assessment is via a combination of assessment methods relevant to the particular module.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
This programme has been developed to meet the needs of any industrial position that requires a good understanding of electrical and/or electronic engineering. Career progression and professional requirements have influenced the design of the course. The qualification is universally recognised by employers and enhances promotion prospects in supervisory, junior and middle management appointments. Successful students may progress to an HND in Engineering or Engineering Management at Preston College, or to a Degree in Electronics Engineering at the University of Central Lancashire.
