Introduction
The HNC in Business is a two-year, part-time course that offers a broad business education leading to a nationally recognised qualification valued by employers. The course aims to provide vocationally based education which can act as a foundation for a range of business careers and also for self-employment. The programme is designed to make you more immediately effective in current and/or future employment. It also provides a basis of transferable skills, personal qualities and attitudes to underpin the development of your future career.
The course is delivered through a series of lectures and tutorials, with the units being assessed either through coursework or by examination. The course is delivered entirely at Leek College, on behalf of Staffordshire University. Due to small class sizes and a friendly, supportive environment we have enjoyed excellent rates of success, and, wherever possible, aim to meet students' individual needs.

The course lasts for two years with lectures on Tuesday afternoons / evenings, from approximately 1pm to 8pm.
Assessment
