Description
This modularised course aims to provide a broad based computing course for students working in commercial computing/IT environments, individuals wishing to convert into the Computing discipline, or those seeking to gain an entry qualification onto degree-level courses.

Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
Assessment is based on practical and written assignments, project work, programming tasks and individual/group presentations.
Progression
Conversion to a Higher National Diploma in Computing. The Higher National Certificate is also an entry qualification for a Degree in Computing.
Materials
Access to a PC outside college is very useful but not essential. It is essential for you to attend college in addition to normal class hours at times to use some specialised software.

Note: if your course runs for 2 or more years you will be required to pay a tuition fee for each year of study.
