Learners should be at least 18 years of age and possess one of the following:

2 AS Levels
AVCE, BTEC National Diploma in Health Studies
Access to Health or Humanities
Applications from mature learners (over 21 years old) with no formal qualifications but with an interest in care are actively encouraged.

Career Prospects
These courses lead to a qualification which learners can use to enhance their career in the health and social care sector. It also provides a stepping stone towards further qualifications that may include topping-up to a BSc in Care Studies, which is offered at this College, or a degree in Social Work. Employment might be found, for example, in management of residential homes, project management or as development officers - the opportunities are endless.
