Introduction
This course offers students the opportunity to study for a professional qualification which encompasses the design, horticultural and business management skills required for a satisfying career.
You will be encouraged to use your creative and practical skills by designing and building gardens for local landscape developments and major horticultural shows. Your second year studies allow you the opportunity to explore landscape management, historical landscapes or CAD, widening your career options within the amenity horticulture industry.
Our part-time HNC option is ideal if you are already working in the industry and wish to improve your knowledge of design, contract specification and hard landscaping.
Individual modules may also be studied as part of Continuing Professional Development.
The University College Diploma in Garden Design is also available to those within the industry
