Course Aims:
Provides a progression route for advanced hairdressing skills to the role of manager, salon owner or lecturer (together with appropriate teaching qualifications). This course involves both practical and academic coursework, allowing you to gain the required skills and abilities for application within the working environment.

• Colouring, Incorporating Colour Correction & Innovative Design
• Employment Experience
• Long Hair Design
• Specialised Treatments
• Wig Making Basic Skills
• Style Hair with Postiche & Padding
• Principles & Practices of Selling

Progression Opportunities:
Students can progress to the HND Make-up Artistry course; SCQF will allow credits from HNC to contribute to a degree level qualification

Career Potential:
Successful students can look forward to gaining employment within the hairdressing industry as a salon manager/owner, company representative or lecturer.

Course Assessment:
A combination of theory and/or practical assessment is undertaken, relevant to the subject area. Integration of assessment is included where appropriate. Candidates undertake a final project which reflects the course of study undertaken.
