HNC Mechanical Engineering

This new course is intended for those who wish to pursue a rewarding career in mechanical engineering at technician or engineer level.

Students will study a range of practical and theoretical mechanical engineering subjects, including Communications and Mathematics. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain a variety of mechanical related positions, such as Installation or Commissioning Engineer.

You will gain knowledge and expertise in areas such as engineering principles, materials selection, dynamics, pneumatics and hydraulics, thermofluids, quality management, engineering mathematics, engineering communication, statics and strength of materials. The course is designed to give students a firm grounding in mechanical engineering subjects, and includes a practical content, allowing students to gain an understanding and experience of real engineering.
