Course programme

On this course you will gain key knowledge about competing views, perspectives, theories and evidence from a variety of interesting social science subjects such as psychology, sociology and philosophy.


One academic year.

You will gain expertise and understanding related to the two core social science disciplines of psychology and sociology, in addition to other subjects such as philosophy and research methodology. You will evaluate and carry out research across these areas and gain awareness of the philosophical base that underpins these social sciences. You will be encouraged to develop a range of transferable skills such as critical and evaluative thinking, problem solving, communication and presentation skills. You will also develop core skills such as numeracy, teamwork and IT.
