What Will I Learn

The HND offers a broad range of modules which will prepare you fully for a career in this industry. Plant knowledge is secured through modules such as Plant Recognition, Planting Design, and Plants for Gardens: Specialised Plantings. Practical skills are developed through modules in garden design skills, landscape surveying, IT skills and horticultural practices. Garden design skills and knowledge are taught throughout, covering all elements of design from the initial client brief to the development of a portfolio of designs, and implementation. In addition the course prepares you with transferable skills such as writing a business plan.

How Will I Learn

You will design in a range of garden styles, and prepare designs, construction details and planting plans for real clients.
