HND Music Overview

You will develop skills and knowledge in areas such as recording and production, composition and arranging, and music technology and production.

Popular and commercial musical styles are also explored practically, with underpinning knowledge and research to support and guide the creative pulse of each project.

Students need to demonstrate a high level of commitment and a professional approach to practical work and personal development. You may also have the opportunity to go on local, national or foreign trips to broaden creative horizons, experiencing the music industry at work in a variety of contexts.

This course is validated by Edexcel.

Students interested in a music or music technology course can check out what current students are up to at www.createrecords.co.uk; a unique platform showcasing the very best in student songwriting, production and performance – exclusive to West Notts students and staff.
