For the two-year duration of the course, you are required to participate and complete and gain a total of 240 University credits.

There are six strands to the HND programme. They are:

• Fitness
• Research Methods
• Sport Psychology
• Biomechanics
• Sociology

Method of Assessment

Assessment on the course is through essays, group research, presentations, seminar papers and exams.

Progression

Students undertaking this programme can progress on to a wide range of careers including sport management, fitness consulting, sport coaching, health and exercise promotion, sports industry and sports development. Successful completion of the course leads to the 3rd year of the Degree in Applied Sports Science at Bedford campus.
