Course programme

Further to the success of the Horizons events launched in 2008, Dental Protection is pleased to announce further roadshows to take place during September 2010.

Featuring speakers and , the roadshows will visit five cities in England and Wales.

Suitable for all members of the dental team, both GDC registered and non-registered, the event will explore scenarios from the Dental Protection archives and explore the impact of these scenarios on all members of the team.

The theme for this year's events, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, will explore the way people think and behave and how they interact with each other. The lecture will provide all members of the team with the ability to understand how to recognise critical moments in a communication, understand how to control them and how to learn from them.

The lectures will provide delegates with the opportunity to examine case studies and suggest alternative ways for managing situations, including effective listening, making decisions under presuure, managing adverse outcomes, difficult situations at chairside and at reception.
