You will be working in greenkeeping and your employer will release you for up to a day a week over a set peiod to come to college to get underpinning knowledge and understanding in key areas of horticulture. You will also be assessed in the workplace to complete your NVQ portfolio. There will be opportunities to develop new skills via training courses Horticulture is a vibrant industry in West Sussex and an apprenticeship is an excellent route into this area.

How will I study?

A range of relevant units including health and safety, managing projects and skills appropriate to your pathway
How will I be taught?

Day release at the College to learn underpinning knowledge and understanding. Most aspects will be covered via work-based assessment.

Mostly by assessing your competence in relevant skills in the workplace, though there will be technical skills tests and functional skills exams
