Introduction
Hard or Decorative Landscaping Apprenticeships.
Available for those aged 16-65, this is your opportunity to 'earn as you learn', combining work for a landscape gardener/contractor or a similar job with one day a week at Reaseheath. It is therefore important that you live within reasonable travelling distance of the college.

About the course
Before you start we will agree which is the right programme for you, based on your experience, any certificates you may have (e.g. GCSEs) and an assessment.
As an Apprentice you will be involved in a range of topics and besides gaining your Work-based Diploma (formerly NVQ) Level 2 and Functional Skills, you will 'pick up' industrial skills and certificates in First Aid and spraying.
As an Advanced Apprentice you will gain Work-based Diploma (formerly NVQ) Level 3, Functional Skills and First Aid, plus industrial certificates such as spraying.

The course includes
Work-based Diploma Levels 2 or 3 units appropriate to your employment, these could be:

• Amenity and decorative horticulture
  
• Nursery stock production
  
• Turf maintenance
  
• Landscape construction
  
• Horticulture machinery
  
• NPTC Certificates
  
• Functional skills in Maths, English or ICT
  

Length of the course

• 
  Apprenticeship 18-24 months
  
• 
  Advanced Apprenticeship 30-36 months (Follow on from Apprenticeship 12-18 months)
