Course programme
The industry is vast and employs over 2 million people providing a range of services, which all of us experience in one form or another every day. Food, drink, accommodation and providing a first-class service are what the industry is all about.
Demand for well-qualified and experienced learners has never been higher. Conservative estimates put the national figure for vacancies within catering at around 50,000. Salaries have risen considerably in recent years; a good head chef is now able to earn anything from £17,000 to £115,000 per year.
This qualification covers all aspects of food and beverage service. It will deliver the main skills required to ensure an understanding of the role and meet the expectations of a future employer. You will gain valuable experience in the College’s Cider Orchard restaurant, where you will cook and serve first-class dishes to customers.
