Hospitality and catering has become one of the UK's biggest employment sectors. If you are currently working in this field, our Hospitality Manager apprenticeship provides you with an excellent platform for progression from supervisory roles within restaurants, hotels, holiday accommodation, cafés, pubs and contract catering (including schools, colleges, universities and hospitals).
Whether you are employed in hospitality and catering and seeking to advance your career, or if you have a Level 3 qualification or a supervisory position and want to progress to a managerial role, this Level 4 hospitality apprenticeship will enable you to learn while you work and immediately apply your training to your role. Your studies will explore the essentials of managing in hospitality as well as a choice of management specialisms.
As a hospitality manager, your role will typically involve high levels of responsibility and incorporate accountability for meeting business objectives. You will work under pressure and have a passion for exceeding customers’ expectations while ensuring business standards are upheld. You might also have responsibility for continuously improving the customer experience on behalf of your business.

About this course
You need to be over 18 years of age and have previous experience of working in the hospitality sector. You should already be working a minimum of 30 hours per week in an appropriate role.
You will normally require a Level 3 qualification and a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (grade C) or above, including maths and English.

Course programme
Teaching and assessment
An assigned assessor will discuss your needs and visit you at work. You will also attend regular sessions at University College Birmingham to enable you to understand the higher level skills and knowledge required to become a manager. You will have practical assessments, online tests and assignments during the course to prepare you for the end-point assessment.
Your personal assessor will visit you regularly in the workplace (and will be happy to see you more often if you need extra help). They will assist you throughout your training to help you achieve your qualification.

End-point assessment
All apprenticeship standards require successful completion of end-point assessments graded by an approved external apprenticeship organisation.
