Hospitality Services Level 1

This introductory course is ideal if you have an interest in the catering industry.

You will find out about the catering and hospitality industry and the wide range of opportunities available. You will cover units including customer service, healthy eating, basic food preparation & cooking, serving food & drink, using kitchen equipment and food safety.

You will also experience a realistic working environment in the campus kitchen and restaurant where you will either be cooking for or serving the general public.

What is expected from a learner studying this course?

You must show an enthusiasm for the hospitality and catering industry. You will need to be self motivated, hardworking, numerate and have a friendly personality. Attendance and punctuality for all sessions is a major requirement of this course.

• Portfolio of practical assessments for each unit


• Assignments and tasks
