To achieve the minimum requirement of 37 units to be eligible to be certifcated Diploma at Level 3. Be working in a hospitality environment and be regularly assessed and meet with assessor. Provide suitable evidence of competence and also knowledge and understanding. A nationally accreited and recognised qualification! Demonstartates learner's ability to manage teams, resources and services and is expected by many establishments. Progression to qualifications at same level or above - such as HNC or HND Level 4 and Level 5 etc. Suitable for: Suitable for those employed in the Hospitality industry and those seeking to enter it. For managers and supervisors including those who deliver bar, beverage, food, hospitality, conferencing and banqueting services, those that supervise and manage team(s) of staff in these environments and a nationally recognised qualification. Forms an integral part of the Advanced Apprenticeship framework. Possession of Level 2 qualification will be beneficial but is not a mandatory requirement.

Course review:

The qualification is designed for those employed in hospitality roles for example bar people/managers, chefs or conference and banqueting assistants/managers, who need to develop or consolidate their skills.

Learners must take mandatory units that cover aspects of objectives and providing support for team members, developing working relationships with coleagues, contributing to the control of resources, maintaining the health, hygeine, health, safety & security of th eworking environment, and leading a team to improve customer service in a hospitality environment.
Learners can then choose optional units covering different areas of hospitality supervision such as food production operations and contributing to selcting staff for activities.

Comments:

Starts to suit the individual and/or organisation and are deliverd in the workplace. This is a competence based qualification and there are no exams unless the individual choses to take a Food safety test at an appropriate level.
